Augusta in the Spring

So it is official we are heading to the Master's this year!  Our friend Corey got tickets and with the Trevino's living about a mile away from the course we couldn't resist.  Plus this way we can get some much needed Will time.  I think that kid may be running hurdles by the time we get there. Sabrina can't wait to meet Uncledoc and Lala and of course Will.

Lazy Sunday

Sabrina was feeling extra lazy today and she even pulled her blanket over her eyes when Jake tried to wake her up for a feeding.  If she only was able to get a few of my traits I am glad that it was her ability to sleep. She may look like Jake, but this girl sleeps like me!

We went shopping yesterday to the mall to get Sabrina some outfits for her pictures on Tuesday.  We saw the beret and couldn't resist. 

Friday Night Out

Friday night Grandpadoc and Grandmadoc paid us a visit and took us out to dinner.  Sabrina was so good and slept the entire time and Mommy got to pound her first real drink.  It was a great night out.  We even saw the Gray's up at the resturant and got some hugs and kisses from Miss Nora Kate.

The Real World

So today Aunt Nett is leaving and going home to San Antonio and that means the real work starts now.  It has been amazing to have the extra help around the house and I can honestly say I never thought that I would be getting 7 hours of sleep with a two week old so THANK YOU Aunt Nett!  This next week will no doubt be fun and challenging and we are already looking forward to the Mele's visit next weekend...get ready Mary!

Sabrina and the Pups

So the dogs have been acting a bit different and are trying to adjust to Sabrina.  Ace likes to sniff her and watch her as she lays in her swing, Spencer is currently pretty much staying out of sight and being his usual old man self, and Sophia is mostly trying to get close to her while still getting as much attention as possible for herself!

2 Week Checkup

Yesterday Sabrina had her two week checkup and her weight was 7lbs. 0.5ozs, just 1.5 ozs short of her birth weight.  Her doctor was happy with her weight gain and that put Jake and I at ease.  Her length is up to 20 inches from 19 1/4 which puts her right in the 50% for height.  She is in the 25% for weight right now.  She also had to get her second PKU test and they had to prick her heel to get the blood.  I was not happy and neither was Sabrina, but dad stayed right next to her and got her through it.  The picture above is her in the car as we are coming home.  All that crying made her pass out! 

Sabrina's Peeps

Our family and friends have been so great these past few weeks and we have enjoyed all the visitors that have come by to see Sabrina, bring her ridiculsouly cute clothes and bring us much appreciated food!  The visits started in the hospital and have continued on and both Jake and I feel so blessed to have such great friends and family.  A special shout out to Nana and Aunt Nett for the help around the house, late night feedings, and allowing Jake and I to get some much needed sleep!

The Arrival of Sabrina Rose Mirelez

Our sweet girl decided that she was ready to make an early appearance (almost two weeks early).  No surprise for us since she had been making all the calls these last nine months including a last minute turn into a breech position.  So a c-section was scheduled but instead of waiting until the planned day she decided to interrupt the National Championship game with labor.  So we headed up to the hospital for an expedited c-section.  Sabrina was born at 2:48 am on January 11, 2011.  She weighed 7lbs. 2ozs. and was 19 1/4 inches long.  We are having a blast with her and can't wait to see what she does next.
