Memorial Weekend

We headed to the Hill country and Lake LBJ for the weekend.  The Vanderslice's and DelGreco's met us at the lakehouse and we had a great time watching all of the kiddos play.  The DelGreco boys swam all day long and played with the pups.  Miss Molly and Sabrina got to hang out and do their thing too.

The girls hanging out

Sabrina was so good in the car and adjusted well to sleeping at the lakehouse.  I am so thankful for having such a good baby!

First Lake Trip

First time swimming (if you can call it that)
Our drive home, this was about the only time she was awake during the 3 1/2 hours!

Cha cha cha changes

Sabrina has really been discovering new things each day.  She loves putting teething toys in her mouth and also is obsessed with her feet on some days.  She likes to not only cross them but stack them and then stare at them.  She is so funny!

She also has started going to sleep earlier this week (7:30) and while she eats her last bottle before bed I can barely get the bottle in her mouth due to her hands!  She likes to rub her eyes or block them from the already dim light in the room.  If she decides that she is done with the bottle she will just swat at it.  On a sad note she is still losing hair and I can't wait for her lovely locks to grow back!

The Griswalds

So we got really bold and decided that for Aaron and Mike's birthdays we would do an early dinner with kids.  In attendance were The Chandler's (Hudson 3 1/2 and Smith almost 1 year), The Ayala's (Landry 5 years), The Gray's (Nora Kate 21 months) and us with a 4 month old.  It took about 10 minutes after they called us to even get us all settled and sitting at the table.  Trying to figure out how many boosters, high chairs and slings was like doing calculus for us.

I looked at the table behind us and apologized in advance.  I was pleasantly surprised how loud it was in Gloria's so we barely phased anyone.  There was a point at the end of the night when the dad's took all of the kids outside to run around and it was just the mom's sitting and drinking and I thought this was not bad at all!  Below are some of the priceless pictures of the night.

Sabrina was a little tired from a long day with short naps so NK was trying to give her some love.

4 Months!!

Last week Sabrina turned 4 months which meant another trip to the doctor for a check up.  She had to get 3 shots and wasn't too happy (I actually think her feelings were hurt).  She is now 24 1/4 inches long (25%) and weighs 14.7 lbs (70%)!!  When she was born she was only in the 25% in weight and boy has the witch to formula changed that.  The doctor said that this could be part of the reason why she sleeps so well at night.

She is also starting to loose her hair and is partly going bald.  Not a great look but we are excited to see what grows back.  All in all she is so much fun to be around and is mostly happy and laughing and talking excessively!  Jake is definately in for it.

Baby Serena

We were so excited to hear that we have a new cousin!! Serena Louise Aldrich was born on May 10 weighing 8 lb 7oz and 20.5 in long.  She is so adorable and we can't wait to meet her.

Mother's Day Weekend

So now that Sabrina is almost 4 months it seems like everyday something new happens.  She rolled over from her stomach to her back for the first time on Saturday and also got in the jumper for the first time.  She is talking non-stop and growing like a weed.  Hopefully we will get some video of her soon on the blog (we are having some technical difficulties with this one).

Sabrina also slept in until 8:00 as part of my mother's day gift!  I was able to get a massage, my nails done, and get a cute frame with a recent picture of Miss Sabrina for my desk as part of my Mother's Day gift.  It was awesome.  Jake and I had a blast just watching her try to figure out the little things all weekend long.

Yo Gabba Gabba!

Just chilling in the corner in the outfit we got her from the Master's.  Still a little big but so cute.

This was the picture I got as part of my Mother's Day gift!

First Time in the Jumper

Thanks Miss Megan for my outfit!

Aunt Nett and Uncle Bruce's Visit

We had a great time with Aunt Nett and Uncle Bruce this weekend.  Mom got some much enjoyed quiet time and Sabrina had a blast laughing and talking all weekend long.

Girly Girl!

Sabrina's favorite show now is Yo Gabba Gabba.  Her favorite charecter on the show is the pink extra girly charecter named Foofa (see picture below).  Jake and I thought oh wow we have a girly girl on our hands since Sabrina constantly laughs and smiles at Foofa anytime she is on the show.  We noticed a few days ago that Sabrina is now crossing her feet in an attempt to be extra lady like and it hit us hard...we are going to have a girly girl on our hands.  Not something I am familiar with, but it looks like lots of pink is in our future. Don't worry we will still try and make a tomboy out of her yet and ensure that she will play sports.  She just may be the girl picking flowers on the soccer field!

16 Weeks Old

Sabrina is 16 weeks old today and is growing like a weed!  We have our 4 month check up next week so I am looking forward to finding out all of her metrics.  Here are some picutres from the weekend and last night's bath.
